Founder and former owner of Galerie de Bellecour in Lyon, France, Jean-Marc Michali has exhibited from 1986 Andy Warhol, Bernard Buffet, Les Lalanne, Invader, Georges Mathieu, César, Robert Combas… and presented original works by Edouard Manet, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, Auguste Rodin, Pablo Picasso, Amedeo Modigliani, Marc Chagall, Egon Schiele, Salvador Dalí, Pierre Soulages, Nicolas de Staël, Lucio Fontana, Yves Klein, Zao Wou-Ki, Sanyu, etc.

Photo of the exhibition “ANDY WARHOL” organized by Jean-Marc Michali at his Galerie de Bellecour, Lyon, from 4 Feb. to 20 Mar. 1987, with several “Statue of Liberty” paintings. This show turned out to be Andy Warhol’s last exhibition during the artist’s lifetime.

Jean-Marc Michali is a specialist of Pierre SOULAGES’ work. He developed a strong and friendly relationship with the artist and his wife. He is notably charged to help the control of the authenticity of the works presented on the international market.

Jean-Marc Michali is established in Palm Beach, Florida, since 2006, with his wife Sophie, graduated with a Diplôme d’études supérieures de l’Ecole du Louvre, who joined Michali Gallery as Art Advisor.

Michali Gallery continues to offer original works by the above mentioned artists and also by Andy Warhol, Wayne Thiebaud, Sam Francis, Alexander Calder, Jeb Laurent, Jeff Koons, Peter Doig, Lucien Smith, among others. Jean-Marc Michali’s daughter Maude has long-time family experience in art and art advising. She attended la Sorbonne University in Paris and the HEC Business School in Montreal, Canada. After work experiences at Christie’s and Sotheby’s, she managed her own galleries in Miami and New-York.
